James Owen "J.O." Rogers

Age 61, retired firefighter, passed away Dec. 10, 2015. J. O. was born to Jack L. and Mary K. “Sandy” (Sanford) Rogers in Wichita on Feb. 28, 1954. A memorial service was held at the Country Acres Baptist Church, 8810 W, 10th St., Wichita, on Dec. 19, 2015 at 10:30 AM. J.O. is survived by his wife, Teresa, sons David (Leslie) Rogers and Tim (Ashley) Rogers; brother John (Jan) Rogers, sister Kay (David) Drake; grandchildren T, J, Jude, and Madi; and his dog, Bubba. Memorials: in lieu of flowers, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Sedgwick County, 220 W. Douglas, Ste. #15, Wichita, 67203; and/or Harry Hynes Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
James and I went to North High School together. Then later we ended up working at LifeWatch at Wesley hospital together. He is a great guy. He never changed from his looks to his voice and attitude about friends and life. May God rest his soul.
