Obituary

Donald Ben Williamson Jr., 68, of rural Burden, KS passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at University Hospital in San Antonio, TX.

Donny was born October 20, 1953 in Baltimore, MD the son of Donald Ben Williamson Sr. and Intha (Gray) Williamson. During his early years, his family lived in Texas and moved to Wichita, KS in 1968. He graduated in 1972 from North High School. On June 24, 1978 Donny was united in marriage to Patrice Sandefur in Belle Plaine, KS. He operated his own business, Williamson Construction, in the Wichita area for 20 years. Upon moving his family to rural Burden in 1998, he began working for Bloyer and Sons, Inc., continuing until the present. First and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ, Donny viewed all of life as worship to Him. He took great delight in the study and application of God’s word. He loved and cared for his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a gifted musician who loved leading worship, playing guitar and singing with Patrice. He enjoyed spending time in God’s great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping, especially with his grandkids. A skilled woodworker and craftsman, he took pride in a job well done. He left his mark of excellence on every task he put his hands to.

He is survived by his wife, Patrice; children: Darcy (Jason) Rowl, Molly (Jeff) Schaefer, Grace (Warner) Richardson, and Benjamin (Micah) Williamson; grandchildren: Brennan, Colin, Eden, and Ivy Rowl, Keely, Bowen, and Barrett Schaefer, Evelyn, Ethan, Karalee, and Lily Richardson, Graeham, Penelope, Arbor Williamson, and one more on the way; mother, Intha Williamson; siblings: Jim Williamson, Candy Baggett, Nanette Edmonds, and Tim Williamson. He is preceded in death by his father.

Memorial services was held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship in Winfield, KS. Burial was at the Burden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Just Mercy, P.O. Box 93, Stark City, Mo. 64866. Donations may also be left in the care of the funeral home.
