I want to always remember Orie Jones, Wood Shop Teacher, He encouraged us to make whatever we wanted, No project was to large. I remember slate pool tables, and dozens of GrandMother clocks. Mr. Jones taught us to carve figurines for projects. I made cedar chests for the lucky person I was dating at the time. I have my Moms cedar chest now, so my wife got hers.

I want to always remember Mr. Jones

My favorite was Olivia Snyder (Jacobs)...known as Libby, back then.  She taught Jr. English and was the sponsor for "Polaris," the literary magazine.  I stayed in touch with her up until about 10 years ago, and then lost track somehow.  I think she left North and went to Heights as a Librarian - teaching English to Juniors got to be too much for her, go figure! :) She was a great mentor to me...sure would like to see her again!!!
