(Died April 23, 2013) 

 

U.S. Veteran

WICHITA, KS Barnes, Gary Wayne Sr., 59, Cessna Aircraft Machinist, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Glenn E. Barnes and Edith (Pursley) Barnes. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War Era Veteran. He is survived by wife Carol Barnes, sons, Gary W. Barnes, Jr. of Newton, and Robert (Stephine) Barnes of Joplin; brothers, Carl (Diane) Barnes and Johnny Barnes; sisters, Gay (Charles) Bennett and Glenda McCart; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Edith Barnes. Services at a later date. Memorials to Harry Hynes Hospice, Wichita. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Marc Haynes

I remember good times with Gary and his brother John.. Loading up in John's 54 Chevy, a few bottles of Ripple, for movies at the 81 Dirve-In Theatre. RIP Gary.
