Jean Marie Swanson, 67, a Blue Springs, MO resident passed away peacefully Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. She was born June 23, 1954 to Clifford and Delpha (Apsley) Bruso in Wichita, KS.
Jean graduated from Wichita North High School in 1972. She was united in marriage to Brett Swanson on March 11, 1978 in Wichita, KS. Jean worked as a document control specialist for Burns and McDonnell and retired in August 2020. She was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Blue Springs. Jean enjoyed going on walks, being in the outdoors, attending and socializing at Brett’s softball games, and traveling with Brett. Above all Jean cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Survived by her husband, Brett Swanson of Blue Springs, MO; son, Aaron Swanson and wife Kristen of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren, Madison, Tanner, Dylan Swanson of Lee’s Summit, MO; parents, Clifford and Delpha Bruso siblings, Chuck Bruso of Bullhead City, AZ, Mark Bruso and wife Lita of Haysville, KS, Sharon Ellis of Wichita, KS, Joan Robichaux and husband Alan of Wichita, KS, Carol Martinez and husband Jerry of Wichita, KS, Gerald Bruso of Wichita, KS, Gregory Bruso of Wichita, KS.
Her family received friends and family beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Blue Springs, MO. Rosary was prayed at 9:45 a.m. at the church. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs.
