Bradford Wilkinson Obituary

72, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away suddenly at home on May 15, 2026. Born January 16, 1954, Brad was a beloved son, brother, uncle, trusted friend, and father figure to many whose kindness, humor, and hardworking spirit touched countless lives.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Wilkinson and Gwendolyn Wilkinson. He was also preceded in death by his longtime friend, Susan Wellshear.

He is survived by his loving sisters: Karen Fillenworth and her children, Jesse Fillenworth and Aleah Fillenworth; Sheryl Lewis and her husband, Larry Lewis, and their children, Lyndie Victoria, Landon Lewis, and Brock Lewis; Julia Burson and her husband, Mark Burson, along with their son, Charles Burson; and by his brother, Randy Wilkinson, his wife, Nita Wilkinson, and their sons, Shawn and Travis. He is also lovingly remembered by Susan Wellshear's children, Carly Wellshear, Clint Wellshear, and Cole Wellshear, and by her grandson, Colin Wellshear.

Brad was a longtime resident of Wichita, Kansas, where he attended North High School and later the University of Kansas. A dedicated businessman and skilled painter, he owned and operated a respected painting business that became well known throughout the community. Brad built lasting friendships through his work, generosity, and easygoing nature. In later years, he made his home in Wellington, Kansas, where he continued to be cherished by friends and neighbors alike.

Brad will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a future date."
