GAINESEVILLE, MO - Green, Alan James, retired Wichita Firefighter/Paramedic, died unexpectedly on October 22, 2009 at his home in Gainesville. Alan was born on December 20, 1954 in Wichita. He attended North High School. He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Green; mother, Frances Srack; father, Darrell Green; sister, Lynda Gilmore; brother, Michael Green; nephew, Christopher Gilmore; and niece, Shannon Gilmore. He is also survived by step-son, Darren Book, his wife and two children, and step-daughter Renee Tingley, her husband and three children. Alan was larger than life and will be missed by many. A Memorial service was be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, October 31, 2009 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville. Cremation services were under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
